Invite our founder to come and talk to your community group/business/ religious organisation or group: We love coming to talk to organisations, however small.
Jemma, Lia, Lucy or Gregg can work with your organisation to deliver a presentation about the work of our charity and how we got started in 2009. We ask for donations after our presentations if the audience or organisation feels happy to contribute. We have worked with the Rotary and Lion Clubs across Essex and sometimes London. We have also worked with The Women's Union, The Women's Institute and Guild and many Churches in and around Essex and London. Please contact us if you would like a speaker to come along and share the word of Porridge and Pens.
Work with us through your school, college, or university:
Your school can take part in a walk to GHANA, hold a non-uniform day, or invite us to talk at your school assembly. We are always delighted to hear about ideas and partnerships with schools, colleges, and universities. Most of our trustees and even our founder, Jemma, have years of experience in teaching, so visiting schools and engaging young people with our work is very important to us.
Make a Donation
We use Donation Manager to handle our donations so we pay less in bank charges and receive more of your donations. We can accept donations via Paypal and most credit cards. If you're a UK taxpayer, please Gift Aid your donations so we receive an extra 25p for every £1 you give us.
