Take part in a fundraising event

Set up your own fundraising event or take part in one of our sporting challenges and help us to raise vital funds.

There are lots of ways to help Porridge and Pens continue to feed, educate, and shelter over 400 children in Ghana:

Hold a fundraising event for us in your community:

Are you good at baking cakes? Can you hold a dinner party with your family and friends? Pub quizzes to garage sales; every penny raised supports our work in Ghana. Have you got an idea to help raise money with friends and family? We would love to hear from you. Our team would be delighted to work with you to organise an event or bring an idea to life.

Take a spot at one of our sporting events:

Have you got what it takes to run a half marathon, take a skydive or participate in the Ride London 100 miles? We have a variety of sporting challenges for supporters to get involved with. We can often apply for charity spaces at challenge events that interest you.

Please get in touch if you would like to take on a sporting or adventure challenge for Porridge and Pens. Previous experiences have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, dancing with fire and running 12 miles in Ghana! Whatever your idea, we would love to hear about it.

Buy something from our Charity Ebay page:

We are a top-rated seller on eBay and have many new and interesting items for sale. Our charity Ebay page sales are an important source of our income, and every penny of profit goes to Porridge and Pens. Please get in touch if you have something you think we could sell.

Purchase a gift from our online Etsy shop:

Here you can purchase a handmade, thoughtful and meaningful gift for any occasion, from handmade items to gift vouchers.

Leave a gift in your will:

A will is a gift to the people and causes important to you during your lifetime. Taking care of your loved ones, including a gift in your will for vulnerable children and families who otherwise might not have a chance to lift themselves out of poverty, is a very special legacy to leave. To discuss leaving a gift in your will, please contact Jemma on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Volunteer with us:

We are always looking for volunteers who can help at one of our community events or offer our staff and volunteers a new skill. We are also always happy to hear from talented, experienced individuals who could join our board of trustees.

Donate:

Donating to Porridge and Pens is the quickest way to make an immediate impact.

Get in touch with your ideas:

If you have any ideas or suggestions, please get in touch; one of our team would love to hear from you!
